FIFA 11 Might Incorporate Motion Sensitive Control
Motion sensitive controls are all the rage these days, thanks to Nintendo, which introduced them in its innovative Nintendo Wii console. As such, during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), both Microsoft and Sony introduced their own takes on motion sensitive controls.
When the announcements were made, we heard the president of EA Sports, Peter Moore, say that the new systems would certainly provide some new opportunities in terms of game development. Now, EA's David Rutter, the man responsible for the extremely successful FIFA franchise from the company, talks with Videogamer about the possibility of seeing motion control support in future iterations, like FIFA 10 or 11.
He goes on to speculate on how these new technologies might be implemented in the game, which would require a lot of effort from any average player. “It’s early doors on all that. It’s funny. Peter Moore said that and John Riccitiello said you’d never want Natal to control FIFA. There are a few things we could do, which we’re thinking about doing at the moment. But it’s not something that’s suddenly going to manifest itself in FIFA 10.”
Asked if FIFA 11 might be a safe bet to see some motion sensitive support, Rutter says that it is “possible” and that, “I’m a big fan of [it], and I’ve said it a number of times and I’ll say it again, if it’s not good enough it won’t make it in. Don’t just want to put something in because it’s something we’re asked to do or it’s something people think we should. If it doesn’t add to the overall thing, then it’s pointless. I don’t want it to be just this distraction, to be quite honest.”
So there you have it, sports fans, it seems that if the team finds some innovative ways to implement either Microsoft's Project Natal or Sony's new wand technology, we will see them on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.

Project Natal's potential games FIFA 11
The next iteration of EA's table-topping footy sim could include support for Project Natal. EA producer David Rutter is seriously looking at integrating the control-free add-on but only if it is seen to drastically help the game.
On the possibility of Natal coming to FIFA, Rutter said: "I'm a big fan of, and I've said it a number of times and I'll say it again, if it's not good enough it won't make it in."

EA ALREADY KNOWS THE NEW FEATURES OF FIFA 11 & 12
EA ALREADY KNOWS THE NEW FEATURES OF FIFA 11 & 12
We suspected that this was the case but never expected an EA Producer to admit that he already knows the major new features for the next three iterations of an EA Sports series. Nonetheless, that's exactly what FIFA 10's Producer, David Rutter has revealed to TVG in a recent interview:
"I know already what the major new features will be for FIFA 11 and 12," explained Rutter at a recent FIFA 10 preview event. However, before you get all hot under the collar and start petitioning EA for all the new features to appear in this year's game, Rutter went on to explain why it's not that simple:
"I know what didn't make it this year and will go into next year because we weren't happy with the quality of it at this point," he said. "In the same way that features that weren't ready for last year have made it into this year. So it's a very interesting life."
As you might expect, Rutter wouldn't tell us what the new features will be for FIFA 11 and 12. We reckon EA has got a Be-a-Sheikh mode under wraps where you have to earn billions drilling oil before spending it on the Premiership club of your choice
